French Art Deco Antiques - Design - Restoration

Philippe Pallafray is originally from Haute-Savoie. He spent a decade at "Hôtel des ventes Drouot", a renowned art auction house located in Paris. While at Drouot, Philippe collaborated with the merchandizing of displays and the management of exhibit halls for important French auction sales. During that time, Philippe graduated in the art of cabinetmaking. In 1996, he acquired his own auction house where he and his wife presented, on a weekly basis, hundreds of art objects, antique furniture, paintings, fine wines, and collectible toys, as well as artifacts, primal art, Art Deco and Design furniture. Enriched by his professional experience, Philippe moved to Canada in 2006 with his family. He is pursuing his antique dealing career and takes the time to create original furniture with baroque lines and very contemporary raw materials.

Anne-Yvonne Jouan Pallafray was born in Bretagne. She graduated from "École du Louvre" (Musée du Louvre) in Paris and specializes in French classical painting. Anne also has a law degree from the French Law University. After training at "Hôtel des ventes Drouot", she worked as an auctioneer in France for ten years. Anne benefited from her expertise in various areas such as estate settlement, insurance and judiciary matters while managing her own auction house with her husband. Her interest for painting encouraged her to take painting restoration classes with a French professional. Today, Anne lives in Canada with her family and continues to devote her time to her two passions: French antiques and painting restoration.
